That's been my norm with it, especially with bigger fish. The traditional tap-tap rarely comes into play with that rig in my experience, except maybe with little fish.

Last spring caught 3 sows over 5lbs in less than 10 minutes out of the yak and never felt a thing except for the slightest bit of pressure on the end of the line.
