THAT IS NOT WHY THE JUDICIARY EXISTS.
I'm pretty sure his point was the judiciary is there to stop an angry loud minority of the population (which you are in you are far right or left) from doing things that will fundamentally change the country for the majority who don't agree with the changes.

Again, does not fall within the purview of the courts. And thank God it doesn't.

And his point is not accurate. That is not their job. Their job is to be a check on the other two branches by making sure the laws passed and enforced follow the constitution. It is not their job make sure the laws are acceptable to the majority.
