In elementary, I got in trouble for calling the girls "lesbians". Well to me a "lesbian" was a girl who likes other girls. (I think I had heard my older cousins using the word or something) They all liked each other and were friends so to what I understood the definition to be, they were in fact, lesbians.

The school tried to punish me for this but my parents stepped in and told them no fricking way because I didn't even know what I was actually saying. Then they sat me down and explained what lesbians really are.

THAT is good parenting.
