re: Beauty and the Beast thoughts and discussions

Saw it today.

First: Very good. Not the best (and I'm not sure it's better than The Jungle Book), but it was really good.

The Good: Luke Evans killed it. The extra backstory for both Belle and Beast was a nice touch, made their relationship more believable. Most of the Furniture was well done. Kevin Kline. The Enchantress. The music.

The Meh: Watson as Belle. Not horrible, but she could have been more emotive. The visuals, I felt removed a little too much.The horrible evil townspeople, they could have done without that.

The Bad: Josh Gad. He is the worst. His singing. His delivery on every smarmy line. His "redemption." Ugh. I've never liked him in anything though. I think he is terribly unfunny, and talentless.
