As you can see there are those that like propane and those that prefer charcoal. Propane will be easier to use, charcoal gives you more flexibility. Both are easy enough to get a hang of. Whichever you decide propane/charcoal do yourself a favor and get a Weber. Lowes and home depot sometimes run specials on them around spring and summer holidays.

Ugh...I'm so conflicted now.

It really does seem to be that the majority of people prefer the charcoal grills to gas, and it now has me leaning towards just going with a simple weber kettle and charcoal starter.

After looking into this some more I've come across smoker boxes for gas grills. I didn't realize these even existed. Anybody have any experience with these, and would they make a gas grill more comparable to a charcoal grill taste wise?

Regardless, thank you all for the suggestions. I may have analysis paralysis, but all of your comments are appreciated.
