I'd rather attack the bill for what it is: Unnecessary Legislation.
We've already got laws against:1) battery; 2)assault; 3) types 1 & 2 specifically against 1st responders; 4) murder; 5) murder of a 1st responder.
Why is there MORE legislation against harming 1st responders? Looks like we've got it covered already and done so redundantly already.
Oh I know! Because criminals and the insane are sure to cease and desist once the number of charges reaches a certain level! That 299th charge was close but not quite, we need that 301st.
