Genuinely unsure about this, other than the fact that it reinforces the need to de-link health insurance from employment.

It's good for patient and doctors to know but that's not what this is IMO. The insurance company gets to know results and the entrepreneurs/ labs/ investors that spent millions on this technology get paid.

Also, the damn provision is a mandate basically and the GOP is suppose to be against this sort of crap. Unless they are in power. Probably something the GOP put in the bill to get insurance companies to help support bill.
