My Escort alerts me to virtually every cop within a half mile. I'm surpised how they just ride around with radar on. With laser, by the time it detects it they already got you. But I can count on one hand the number of times I've encountered laser in the past 4 years. And I do a pretty good amount of interstate travel.My radar detector is worth its weight in gold.

The only people I'm aware of here that have a laser are LSP, STPSO, Causeway, and BRPD. I got hit 4 times driving through South Carolina last month. Found out jammers were illegal there when I go back home
