Point was that when all things are equal, men and women are paid the same for the same job; there isn't a men's bracket and a women's bracket for compensation for each job position.
The reality is that all isn't equal. Aside from men and women often choosing different careers that result in earnings being different, men and women often have different work ethics and different requirements outside of work that impact their time spent in the office doing their work that will lead to increases in salary and bonuses.
