McMillan may be not the most physically gifted but the dude is a winner. He won a state championship at the highest level in Texas High school football two years in a row.
What does that have to do with playing in the Southeastern Conference and being good enough to be the starting QB at Louisiana State University?

Russell Shepard was "All Everything" in Texas high school football. How'd that help him at LSU? I don't think any other SEC schools offered McMillan a scholarship..............

Well he was obviously good enough to get recruited and give a scholarship... and he obviously has the intangibles that lead to winning. I agree it's not the SEC but 6A football in Texas is the best that high school football can offer. I'm sure he played against a whole bunch of SEC players on his way to winning two championships.

To say that one has nothing to do with the other is a little ridiculous.

Everything helps. I agree that nothing is guaranteed. But that holds true with every school player. But if we used your logic, we would ignore every high school players film.
