Butler trade

Saints and Patriots have this deal all sewn up. Only part is for Butler to agree to a contract. He will sign the tender saints will send a second and the third pick that we got from new England and receive Butler and our fourth back. Pat's get two picks we get one as they would lose ours anyways with deflategate.

This is so insightful. I'm glad you didn't post it in one of the other four Butler threads. I'd hate to see this gem of a post get lost in one of those thread. Also, change the title. It's a BS title as in he's already been traded.

So if I follow you correctly the Saints would wind up with
Butler and the NE first round pick(32)
NE would have Cooks, our 2 and our 3

That's still a fourth rounder they wouldn't have. Currently they have 1 and a forfeited pick. Having the saints pick allows them to have a 4th round pick
Also the Pats can't trade the pick the saints traded them. It's forfeited so it's not theirs to trade currently
