There was a proposal for a track outside of Monroe to the South. The Richwood residents obviously weren't the target demographic as they voted it down overwhelmingly. Too short sighted to advance. They didn't want the noise. Nevermind the vast amount of money it would bring to the area.

Track was proposed to go between I55, Hwy 1049 and Hwy 1050. I worked on it for a bit. Had site plans and everything. It was supposed to have a boat drag strip/race area.
