re: Who ducked and covered?

We did duck and cover drills. During those few weeks of the Cuban Missle crisis, it seemed like we did them daily. All the desks had to be aligned parallel to the windows. In reality, there was way more chance of dying when a bunch of 1st and 2nd graders struggled to turn their desks over on their sides without being crushed than there was of being killed by a nuclear blast.
