True, but Bennett doesn't have any "basketball connections" to Louisiana/the SEC. I doubt his wife would be SO desperate to get back to BR that he would be willing to leave a program he has built into a legitimate championship contender.
Prohm coached in LA for several years and has staff members with deep ties to the gulf coast
Williams is a TX native (two of his best players at Marquette were from TX) who has coached in LA.
Drew (in addition to the Dale Brown connection) recruits Louisiana as well as any school outside the state

At one point there was serious smoke that Buzz had been hired by Alleva. The reports turned out to be false, and then came the disappointing news about Jones.
