Metro from CDG is easy, but if you want to use the automated ticket machines make sure you know your credit card pin. I have a Visa card that does not add a foreign conversion fee like my AMEX does and therefore prefer to use my Visa when possible, but if you don't know your pin you're SOL.

Not sure how long you are there but exploring the parts of the city can be fun. We went to a huge antique market in a sketchy part of town that was interesting. not sure how safe that area is these days though. Parc des Buttes Chaumont was a nice surprise.

Monet's house and gardens at Giverny makes a nice side trip as well.

IS there a place to purchase a ticket with Euros for the Metro in CDG? I figure we would take that into the city closest to our hotel if we can.
