Good for him. Is he against private schools or something? Or just a supporter of public schools?

I'm not judging someone for trying to get the best education for their children. That is an excellent school.

I do have a few questions....

Dalton is in NYC. Franken works in DC and supposedly resides in Minnesota. So are his kids in a dorm at Dalton? I have mixed opinions on boarding schools. That's a decision he and his wife made and I'm not criticizing them for it. I just wonder how they do it if their kids are not in a dorm.

Clearly Franken sees the benefit of school choice. He choose a school in an entirely different state than where he lives for his kids. Why does he not want to enable school choice for lower income students? Dalton or Deerfield may still be out of reach for them, but they could potentially have the option of switching to a better school than where they are stuck now.

Particularly troubled kids may actually benefit from boarding schools where they can escape a bad home life and focus on their studies.

It seems like nearly everyone (on either side of the isle) that fights school choice for inner city kids that are actually stuck in a hopeless situations also send/sent their kids to private academies.

Franken lived in NYC for a long time. Probably has homes in Minnesota and New York.
