Amen, bruhthuh! I've gone through quite a few poor substitutes. Aaronivitch's Rivers of London series is good enough for me to keep an eye out for the next one (I'm liking seeing the main character learning about and developing his powers from Day 1, just wish I had known about the other books along with the series ahead of time =/ ), but so far Iron Druid is the best substitute for Dresden.
