Obama's Admin ENCOURAGED lawlessness, especially WRT not enforcing the law against illegal immigration. We the People got tired of his blatant and proud lawlessness.
The trade deals in many cases are unfair to the USA and hurt US workers. We the Workers got tired of this blatant punishment of the people that make this country work.
Obama has contempt for the working people that produce and make this country work. He sees them as bitter clingers and The Goose that Lays Golden Eggs to support Globalist Socialism. It's a rich pocket to pick for him and his ilk.
Trump is POTUS because the right thinking people got WOKE and said, "I'm as mad as Hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!"
And when the people elect a leader who agrees with them that the System is rigged and that the Establishment rigged it -- the Establishment will try to destroy that leader BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY, including using the Apparatus of Der Staat to spy on that leader.

Workers have gotten screwed much, much more by computerization and robotics than trade deals.
I love how people rail on the "globalist elites".
Then we will see a thread about fast food workers in some liberal town like Seattle asking for 15 dollars an hour.
This will draw a response about how this will only cost them jobs as fast food franchises turn to automation.
Then there will be a link to some article about robots serving food at Wendy's and kiosks at McDonalds and many posters will be all excited about how those greedy workers are getting their comeuppance.
For some reason, people do not realize that the only people winning in that situation are the Global Elites they are bitching about in different threads.
It makes no sense to me.
1. Global elites suck!
2. Fast food workers want a raise? Who do they think they are!
3. Yeah robots! Screw you hamburger flipper. Lazy bum.
4. Global elites suck!
