Saw this thread. As a live long 49er fan who begrudgingly watched all the 49er games last year, here are my unsolicited thoughts on Smith...
Positives
-He has not lost his speed. Simply faster than most defenses.
-Gabbert/Kap simply could not hit a moving target past 20 yards.
-He was open plenty of times while being the only real threat on offensive outside of Hyde when healthy.
-He is a class act all the way.
Negatives
-Run blocking was meh.
-Really only excelled at running deep routes.
