An exciting round of matches topped off another week.

4 Minute Highlights

NYC v MON
- Wallace continues to make his presence felt on the pitch for NYC.

ATL v CHI
- Wow Josef Martinez. We may be seeing the emergence of a maestro in Almiron.

SKC v SJ
- Poor David Bingham. What a shot by Benny Feilhaber.

VAN v TOR
- Brek Shea is a frustrating player. A nice match by Altidore.

COL v MIN
- The Loons' defense is truly awful. Marlon Hairston is a player.

DC v CLB
- DC can't score. Zak Steffen with a couple really nice saves.

RSL v LA
- Jeff Cassar's last match as manager of RSL.

ORL v PHI
- Larin is big, fast, and can finish.

POR v HOU
- Fun match.

FCD v NE
- Urrutti has been a force.

SEA v NY
- Seattle is a complete team.

Random Thoughts

Atlanta United is on fire, playing with confidence and having fun. I love to watch them play and they may have the best kit in MLS. The gold numbers and letters on the red shirt...fantastic.

It is early, but with the additions of Rodney Wallace, Maxi Moralez, and Alexander Ring and how those guys have played, it may be tough for Tommy McNamara to get on the pitch for NYC.

Dom Dwyer is now an American citizen. He should immediately get the looks that Wondolowski gets for the USMNT.

Teams to be excited for: Portland and Atlanta

Teams to be concerned for: DC and New England

Minnesota United may have the worst defense I have ever witnessed.

A tweet by Andy Edwards that lays bare the harsh reality:

quote:

The most goals ever conceded by an #MLS team in a 34-game season is 67 (Chivas RIP, 2013). #MNUFC are 27% of the way there, IN <4 GAMES.
