yep, the sand is river sand, also called "sugar sand" and it self levels and almost melts into the ground when it rains. the downside to it is until the grass locks it in place with a good root system, its easy to be displaced by a lawn mower or something driving over it so its best to dig up some of your dirt, put the sand in the hole, then put your "better" dirt over it and it will be more stable and less likely to shift under the lawn mower if its in a place where you normally turn the wheels.
