well I suggested hiring someone b/c it sounds like you just don't want to do it at all.
battery powered equipment has come a long way. I'm sure you can find something that will suit you. I just want you to know that not all trimmers and blowers are a pain in the arse to deal with.
And trust me, I could give two shits what anyone else thinks about how I look. I just wanted equipment that was fairly hassle free, reliable, and would give me the power I need, and I found it with my Echo trimmer and blower.
Reading the reviews about the Ego blowers, those things seem legit.
Just remember, you get what you pay for.
