What is the point of school zones? I've never seen a child play in the middle of the road before or after school, so why does everyone have to slow down?

You probably live in a really rural area where no one walks.

However, that doesn't mean theyes aren't allowed to walk.

Children get hit quite frequently. There was a young boy who was killed near my hometown because he got out into the road.

Besides, is it that big of a deal to slow down twice a day for a short distance, as a precaution?
