Very false. Same amount of stolen bases. Altuve has 5 less homeruns. Trout should be leading this significantly given the fact hes a power hitter. Trout only has 4 rbi's more. Altuve blows him away in Avg.

There definitely is an arguement.

and trout has an ISO that is .4 higher. That is a lot

this would matter until you realize that Mike trout still gets on base more than altuve does, again at a decent amount, while hitting for more power

there really isn't. Altuve is a great player, but trout will probably go down as the GOAT. It is what it is

Trout had a higher OBP, higher Slugging, a much higher wrc+, and was a better defender. He hands down was better than Altuve.

By far the two most important things for a hitter to do are: get on base and hit for power. Trout was significantly better at both last year.

As for baserunning, stolen bases isn't it the only part of it. Trout made less outs on the bases last year and was more successful at taking the extra base on base hits.

Basically if you look at any stats created after the 1880s, Trout was clearly better.
