I think he'll be asked to retire. I don't see him surviving this.

Col. Mike Edmonson, the State Police superintendent, said he had not authorized the troopers to charge overtime -- three of the four did -- or to take such an indirect route to the conference, the newspaper reported. He said on Saturday that he has ordered an internal review of the road trip, an inquiry that he said could result in disciplinary measures and changes to State Police travel policy.

"It's embarrassing to me to say that I paid them to drive there, so I'm making them pay that back," Edmonson said, referring to dozens of hours of overtime billed to taxpayers.

I agree, he has been too close to too many issues, I think this one does him in. I also hope they fully investigate travel expenses and OT pay for the whole department, seems like this is a common occurrence and not an isolated event

Doesn't he have enough time for pretty much 100% retirement ? Then he goes out and gets another gig at at least the same salary ?
I agree he's done good. I've had dealings with him and he was a real help in some safety programs I was in charge of.
But I always thought he had a shady side. And he's got some skeletons in his closets.
I just have a feeling if a full blown investigation ensues, a lot of shite will come out that will surprise people and he could be in serious trouble. I hope not but I'm not so sure.
We'll see.
