You asked a direct question, I gave you a direct answer. What else did you want?
I made my point. It's where the party went post 80s. Their reasons were decent to begin with. The idea was to expand American business which would create jobs. What happened was other countries didn't play by the rules and companies left the US. They lobbied and got some GOPE to back the idea and promote we can't compete.
What they should have done was fix the issue. It was their job to do so.
As to immigration... At this point its about future votes. Literally the party gathered to decide what to do.... that was their plan. Amnesty would cause them to like the GOP and thus vote for them.
