I totally understand the honorable side of carrying and appreciate protecting yourself and others. I also see a correlation to how we have been made 'aware' of the horrible, evil, terrible acts humans are capable of to fear of it.
Have you experienced this evil to innocent civilians first hand? This truly would cause a justified concern. Fear of reoccurrence could push someone to arm themselves.

Doesn't bother me. I just think people are so negative and paranoid at times. So fearful that they would propose bills like in the OP.
