Chicago is huge. Third largest city in America. The violence is concentrated in specific areas. And New Orleans has a higher murder RATE than Chicago. Chicago is like 15th. Trump is going after Chicago for political reasons.

Why are you trying to cut it both ways. Chicago is huge so lost of people in the denominator but then you admit using the whole of the population doesn't make sense when the violence is concentrated.
I wonder what the rate would be if Chicago didn't benefit from the peaceful suburbs.
