Doesn't mean I that Moo State actually offered anything to him. His mom may have been trying to leverage more from Ole Miss.
Great point. She knows how much Ole Miss hates Ms. St. and could have felt that was the perfect school to say to get more money out of Miss.

State paid for him. Everyone who follows recruiting knew it on signing day and knows it now.

What I'd love to know is how much?

Remember, this is the same school that lost out on Cam Newton because they were too cheap.

If LSU was cheating, we would have gotten him. We're LSU. They're Moo State. We really, badly needed a linebacker in that class. You think we couldn't have outbid them if we were playing the same game?

Obviously, State has upped its ante, but this just goes to show that Les would rather play fair and lose than cheat and win. He's a genuine competitor and I love that about him. It may have cost him his job, but his conscience is clean and because he refused to go there Orgeron doesn't start out at a disadvantage because his predecessor made bad decisions.

Les even coyly implied at the Bayou Bash that year that State cheated to get him. Looking back at it, his comments about 'a linebacker we were expecting to sign' were his way of saying it without saying it.

Les isn't a snitch, but he was clearly frustrated that other SEC programs were breaking the rules and that his reluctance to do so had cost us depth at a very thin position.
