I think Franco has a relatively smaller roll in this movie, but McBride is the pilot and actually very solid for this kind of role, with his type of humor and ability to be sarcastic/serious at the flip of a switch. Eastbound and Down definitely shows this. I think he will end up stealing some of the show for this reason alone. IMO it is a good casting, even if it seems questionable by many.

I like it. I feel like they're trying to add some sort of light-heartedness early on in the story only to have them both be decimated by whatever creatures are awaiting them.
Or maybe they both told their agents that they want to be in an Alien movie and to make it happen. Danny Mcbride taking on Aliens has me pumped. Lol

Paxton was one of the best parts of Aliens, and McBride could easily fill a similar role in this one based on that prologue clip.
