ell_13, since you say it's not that hard to figure out when to start a reliever warming up, I am curious as to your baseball back ground, specifically with collegiate pitchers. You used the phrase "obvious mistake" earlier as well. Obviously, your back ground makes it easy for you to figure out, and, too, you make no obvious mistakes with your back ground? And I was not yelling, sally, I was simply copying LSU GrandDad. And Poche did have his rough moments in his career, he'd cruise for 3-4 innings & then hit a wall. CPM & Coach Dunn started letting him pitch through it. You really don't member Poche getting rocked, walking batter after batter? Really?

I said it wasn't hard to find a happy medium between PM's choice to wait until he HAS to get someone ready and the many coaches who send someone to get warm as soon as there's trouble.

As to your Poche comparison. You're talking about a proven starter who, when he was given time to work through innings, he was a freshman/sophomore. It was a dumb example for you to use in almost every way.

I do have experience with collegiate pitching.
