There exists a subculture of vagrants who live their lives, or least part of their mid teens to late 20's, on trains. They stink like shite, they steal from people, and are typically hopeless drug addicts. They try to play music but are usually too strung out to patch together more than three chords. Probably have a multitude of STDs.

Basically, American gypsies, but they do it out of some weird obsession with Kerouac and Cassady instead of it being in their blood.
