The vast majority of the comments are tired of the snowflakes and their protests. This is what happens when the liberal wack jobs leave their habitats and try to impose their nonsense on everyone else.
My take is that Portland proper is liberal as hell, but the folks in the 'burbs tend to be more conservative. The people in the 'burbs tend to tolerate a lot of the liberal bullshite, because they like their art galleries, coffee shops, restaurants, and breweries. They give the city it's quirky personality.
Outside of Portland, in my experience, the state is pretty conservative, although there are a lot of folks who tend to vote Democrat because they want to keep development from encroaching on the natural resources that we have. For the most part, people outside of Portland tend to be no-nonsense farmers and outdoorsmen. The exact opposite of the nutjobs who live in Portland.
