Ah, ok. I was confused. Glad your horse didn't get cut. And to answer your question, yes, they cut me open twice. And they had to cut through my sternum and spread my ribcage to do what they had to do both times.

I can see why you liked them. Although I will say they don't come close to the dilaudid drip they had me on in the hospital. Holy shite that stuff was something else!

I'm still paranoid of getting hooked so I'll only let myself have one per day and only at bedtime. And I've started skipping days where the pain is not as bad.

Holy shite. I'd be in the corner drooling. The Oxy prescription I'm on is 5mg of oxy mixed with 350mg of whatever the scientific name of extra strength Tylenol is.

What's funny is it was like two days before I realized it was even there. I woke up from my first heart surgery in the best mood of my life. My nurse was in there working on me when I first woke up and I kept telling her "I had one goal for today and that was to wake up. And I did it!". She'd smile and tell me I did a good job. About 30 seconds later I'd forget I'd ever met her and I'd tell her the same thing over and over. But she was sweet enough to be just as suprised and proud of me each time I'd tell her this. She and my wife got a big laugh out of it.
