What he's referring to is a pretty common theme in the homosexual community. We discussed this issue in abnormal psych that I took as an elective. Don't get me wrong I don't endorse it at all but 13-15 year old gay teens have been known to be with older guys in a "show you the ropes" kind of way. That as well as they like knowing they can be with somebody who has dealt with the same issues they have. Again, not condoning at all, but pointing out it's definitely a thing.
