Agree with most of what you said. But grip matters - should be natural and light to have benefits. One grip does not fit all.
Sometimes I practice weight shift by stepping into a shot just like baseball. Different swing plane of course!
We make it too hard sometimes. Swing hard enough for the ball to go towards the target. If it goes off line it is too hard.
Handicap 10 years ago was 5. Quit playing due to travel. Shoot mid to high 80's on average now. Need to play more regularly as there is nothing like hitting a pure gold shot. Best round ever was a 65 on par 72. Many moons ago!

Starting with feet together and taking a step is a great drill to do if you're not getting your lower body out of the way with a good hip turn.
Another good drill is taking small steps forward alternating feet while swinging.
