The coach is terrible, but this team isn't nearly as talented as some of you think. It's a very bad team. They are weak physically and weak mentally. They have very little competitive drive compared to other teams.
Only 2 or 3 players on this team would play at all for their opponents.

In year 5 the players recruited and their development fall squarely on the coaching staff.
So bad evaluation, lack of need based recruiting(finding a big man in the last 2 years), lack of devolpment once on campus. I could go on.
How about this: your team is in a scoring drought, your best player has 29 pts with around 6:00 left in the game, yet that player fails to take a shot the rest of the game. You don't run a single set play to get Blakney, your best player a shot, and your 9 pt lead turns into a 20 pt loss. That's a 29 pt swing in the last 10 min. of the game. I don't think I have ever heard of such a thing happening

I don't think we can possibly know how really good the kids we have until if and when we get a better coach and leader...just no way.
I do know one thing and I believe this unequivocally. We have better talent than our record indicates and have significantly underachieved.
