my custom Ruger slab side with Optima red dot sight
I had this pistol built in the mid 90's ... IIRC, pic is so old it was with a Sony Mavica floppy disc camera ... state of the art back in the day
you can barely see the red dot but get an idea of the visible sight picture

Is there a reason to mount the sight biased forward instead of towards the rear? I was thinking of placing it more centered above my hand to not add any weight handing off the front.
