Maybe I'm confused.
Isn't Flynn a Democrat? And wasn't he part of Obama's administration at one point?
Wouldn't this reflect poorly on the other side rather than Trump who only had to deal with him for two months?

It reflects poorly on Trump, in my mind, for being so fricking stupid as to hire him when there were abundant red flags in his history.
It reflects poorly on Trump as far as people he has close to him who recommended this hire.

This is an impressive level of mental self-preservation.

You're confused.
He retired (likely fired) April 30, 2014 from his position as director of Defense Intelligence Agency.
Trump picked him up after Carly Fiorina started championing Flynn to the conservative right.

Hiring the guy the previous administration shite canned for being fast and loose with appropriate protocol?
Then firing him for some of the same shite?
No, I think that reflects poorly on the guy who ignored all the red flags.

Yes, this is the one little tidbit conveniently left out of the narrative was that the conversation in question happened while he was still with the Obama Administration.

Yes. From Rhode Island, at that.

Yes, director of the DIA. Honestly, he weaseled his way into Trump's inner circle by (and he was correct on this, so I'm clear) warning way in advance of the risks of trying to topple Assad.
Flynn was about the least impressive member of Team Trump - I get he wanted to have some Democrats, but he should have pulled in the chubby gal from North Dakota or Manchin.
