Why do we need a completely different health service for people who were in the armed forces?


The specialists required to deal with veterans' issues would not have capacity if the pool of patients were diluted down to the general population. Thus, the veteran population would suffer as these services would be hard to find and not as effective.

You talking about the specialists in Dr Andrews group that removed a needle size piece of metal that was lodged dangerously close to my spinal cord that DoD and VA specialists continuously missed and when they finally "found it" said "it is too dangerous for us to remove"?

You really need to STFU when you have no idea what you are talking about. You know what happens to "good" doctors in the DoD system? They get the frick out of the DoD system as soon as their commitment is up... I am not certain I have ever seen what I would consider to be a "good" doctor in the VA system, they are in that system because they suck to begin with...
