Why do you balk at the idea of providing free voter IDs? And what limitations are there to access?

I don't, but in practice voter IDs have never been truly free.

Locations you need to visit to register, hours those locations are open, scarcity in low-income areas, etc. etc. etc.

Usa has three times the aircraft carriers as next most country.
We have a multi billion $$ destroyer.
We can afford biometric readers.
Citizen. Check.
Can drive in his state? Check?
Felon. Check. No vote.
As seen on tv.
Et cetera.
