The wife told me last year she didn't want flowers sent to her place of work. So I didn't send them to her place of work. I paid for it dearly. This year, she has a giant bouquet of flowers and roses going to her place of work.

this is exactly what im talking about. we as men take things literally (at least I do) if im told not to send them I probably wont send them. obviously there are situations i know that are "traps".

His wife just sucks. Believe a person when they tell you they don't like/want something. If they're lying, that's their own problem to deal with.

Women like the above ruin shite for the rest of us. I read a story the other day where this girl told her SO she was not ready to get married and when she was, she DID NOT want a public proposal (which I agree with, I hate people looking at me). Her SO took her to dinner and proposed to her in a restaurant full of people. Why? "Because all women want that!!"

Flowers at work are whatever, but they're a bitch to try and bring home if you want to. I have a table in my foyer at home with a mirror behind it that I prefer flowers to sit on.

Pro Tip: Flowers at Trader Joe's are delivered daily and all $10 or less. I get them every time I go. They make some really nice bouquets that look like they came from a professional local shop.
