Getting AD has nothing to do with the trade. Eric Gordon got hurt, and we finished with the fourth best opportunity and magically won the lottery. We could have traded our guys for picks and ended up in the same spot. We could have finished 6th worst and maybe the NBA fixes the lottery anyway. Maybe we don't win the lottery after the trade we got and ended up with Thomas Robinson instead.
None of those scenarios have an ounce of impact on the discussion. Demps had made a perfectly acceptable asset deal. The Rockets actually were the ones giving up too much for Gasol. I cringe every time I still see people throw that out.
You have the Asik trade and extension to bash. How on earth would you focus on something he may have been doing right?
