The point is that we would have been able to trade for James Harden who is more able to carry a team than AD.
That is not true. Just because Kevin Martin was included in the trade, we all of a sudden had all the pieces to acquire Harden? Did we have Jeremy Lamb (a rookie - the 12th pick in the draft), a 2013 lottery 1st rounder, 2103 2nd rounder (1st pick of 2nd round) and a 2014 1st round pick available to trade?

Man y'all are truly missing the point. Don't come and say Demps is horrible because of that trade. There are plenty of reasons to question Demps, but that should obviously at this point not be one of them.

We have nothing to show for that trade. Literally nothing now that Qpon is probably done.

Meanwhile we would have acquired Dragic. We would have gotten the Rockets first. Lamar Odom was traded for a Mavericks first. We "could" have traded Kevin Martin, Rockets first, our own first, maybe Mavericks first, who knows. That's the point.

Every time you say hindsight, and oh who knew etc, you prove the point. Dell acquired perfectly fine assets. And now years later, isn't that obvious?? We don't know what he would have done from there, but what he acquired was perfectly fine and what he was given was not what he wanted. And that forced trade is a major part of his present picture.
