If you aren't watching this show I'd give it a try if I were you. It tells the story of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II from her first days as the British monarch all the way to the present day. Each season covers roughly a decade of her rule.

Season 2 will cover a period from roughly 1956-1964.

That's kind of surprising. I guess we are going to see what kind of acting chops he has. His deep voice and dialect from Dexter is about as far from Kennedy as you can get. I am curious to see how this turns out.

I thought Hall was older, but he's in his 40's. Around JFK's age at death.

I just don't see the nerd from breakfast club pulling off JFK.

Good to hear they will probably recast after the second season. I really like the current cast, don't get me wrong, but you can only age an actor up so much and have them still be believable in the role.

I was down with a knee injury and binged this series. It was AWESOME!!!! Everybody wants to be king, queen, president, or whatever, but this series shows how you truly live in a gilded cage. All the performances (particularly Claire Foy and John Lithgow) were outstanding.
