Got me for 50k. Actually my mortgage lender (Wells Fargo) gave him 90% of my claim and only 30% of the work was done, and this was after WF sent out their inspectors to check the progress. I'm certain Matt was paying the inspectors hired by the bank to mark up that more work was done. After he was arrested and WF realized what was up they immediately started sending papers for us to sign stating they are not reliable for any contractor misdeeds. Until we do sign we can not access what little funds we have left in escrow. Fricked on both ends.

Damn!! That's just awful. Is there any way to prove WF's inspectors were taking bribes? If so, maybe WF can be held responsible for some of it as well. I'd definitely talk to a good attorney, regardless. I wouldn't sign shite until I did. Surely there has to be a way to recover your money. ... I truly hate people/organizations which are this corrupt. Just no conscience whatsoever.

Wells Fargo is very shady. Wouldn't surprise me at all the inspectors were taking bribes. Now to prove it may take some work.
