will it run ok with the air filter off? If not then there is a mixture issue going on with the carb and tightening that hidden screw about 1/8th of a turn would probably get it acting right again

I'm gonna try it. Not like I can frick it up any more than it is right now. I'll try the screw. I've been using a battery powered trimmer and that shite just pisses me off.
