It probably was Freeman's man but we don't know for sure. Your reasoning isn't solid. Blocking protections are much different than simply grabbing backers sometimes.

Wtf are you talking about? Didn't look like Freeman was going to. Run a route, the linemen were still at the line of scrimmage so it wasn't a screen. Your job as a back when blocking is to clean up somebody that the line didn't get. That's it.
