Before Trump's inauguration, Drudge headlined 'record numbers'. Google searches have turned up nothing for me. Is it business as usual or we finally enforcing the law?

The border crossed them, according to some protesters in my town . . . they're just reclaiming their rightful homeland like Israel

Although the the border with Mexico is the primary route for immigrants from many Latin American countries, immigration from Mexico has dropped significantly in recent years. Lately, more Mexicans immigrants have returned home than moved to the US.

quote:

After four decades of rapid growth, the size of the Mexican immigrant population in the United States has remained stable in recent years. In 2014, more than 11.7 million Mexican immigrants resided in the United States, accounting for 28 percent of the 42.4 million foreign-born population—by far the largest immigrant origin group in the country.

Between 2006 and 2010, the number of Mexican immigrants increased by 200,000 compared to the more than 2 million who arrived in the five years prior (see Figure 1). Following this trend, in the last decade and a half, the Mexican share among all immigrants dropped from 29.5 percent in 2000 to 27.6 percent in 2014.

When the economy picks up, they will start coming back in larger numbers. I talked to a labor contractor in South La who said he was about to go to Mexico to pick up workers because he didn't have enough laborers for the contracts coming up.

Apparently Louisianians are too lazy to work the requested hours.

Trump really hasn't done anything significant specifically regarding the mexican border as far as I know but he definitely plans on trying to get it done.

Actually they haven't been coming over the border in significant numbers in several years. This is all a hysteria campaign on the right.

So yall don't even think for yourselves anymore? How is that working for you?

I applied for Mexican tags, the tags are like alligator tags. But, after using my nine Mexican tags in one day I have to reapply for more. So, yes they are still coming across except for the nine I took care of this weekend.
