Because that part isn't happening. Things are becoming more affordable, yes. But the people being replaced by robots are not finding jobs in other sectors of the economy. They are just becoming unemployed or under-employed.

Why? Because they do not have the skills necessary to move to the jobs with openings.

They could be... but that would require training, and someone has to pay for that.

Not if we start instilling continuous learning and mobility into the younger generations. I've told my kids for years that they need plans B and C, and they always need to be learning from different fields than their own.
